MEET YOUR HOST

I’m Igor, a former professional athlete, three-time world champion, and trained sports psychologist who later moved into business and entrepreneurship.

I’ve spent years performing under pressure and learning what actually drives results. Not hype. Not shortcuts. But clarity, discipline, and focus.

MAF is for people who want to show up sharper in life. Expect practical mindset tools, honest reflections, and a small but necessary dose of humor along the way.

If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

TODAY’S TOPIC

🧠 We spend so much time trying to “fix” ourselves.

Be less emotional. Less intense. Less stubborn. Less sensitive. Less obsessed.

But what if those so-called weaknesses are simply the flip side of our strengths?

The driven person can become impatient. The deeply caring person can overthink. The bold leader may appear stubborn. The creative mind often carries chaos alongside imagination.

The truth is: you can’t always carve out your weaknesses without also carving away part of what makes you powerful.

The real challenge is not to become perfect, but to understand your strengths so deeply that you can manage their shadows without losing your edge.

“Our strengths are often our weaknesses taken to an extreme.”

- F. Scott Fitzgerald

Deep dive

I’ve noticed that the qualities that helped me succeed were often the same ones that created challenges in my life. Intensity, ambition, and discipline can produce extraordinary results, but pushed too far they can also create pressure and imbalance. The goal is not to lose those traits, but to learn when to push and when to let go.

“Every strength is also a weakness. The opposite is true as well.”

- Neil Strauss

Deep dive

I’ve realized that every personality trait carries both an advantage and a cost. The people who care deeply often overthink, and the people who dream big often struggle to switch off. Self awareness is understanding both sides and learning how to use your nature wisely instead of fighting against it.

“The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

- Carl Jung

Deep dive

Most people spend years trying to fit into expectations instead of understanding themselves. I think real confidence comes from accepting who you are fully, including the imperfect parts. There is something powerful about no longer apologizing for the traits that make you different.

📌 ON A PERSONAL NOTE

I abandoned being balanced in other to be myself

As an athlete, I learned that one of my biggest strengths, intensity and relentless drive, also had a downside. Sometimes it created impatience or made it hard to switch off. But over time I realized something important: removing that intensity completely wouldn’t make me balanced. It would make me less me. The goal became learning to direct it rather than suppress it.
