MEET YOUR HOST

I’m Igor, a former professional athlete, three-time world champion, and trained sports psychologist who later moved into business and entrepreneurship.

I’ve spent years performing under pressure and learning what actually drives results. Not hype. Not shortcuts. But clarity, discipline, and focus.

MAF is for people who want to show up sharper in life. Expect practical mindset tools, honest reflections, and a small but necessary dose of humor along the way.

If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

TODAY’S TOPIC

🧠 We often celebrate the individual.

The founder.
The athlete.
The CEO.
The artist.

But behind every remarkable achievement is a team of people who made it possible.

The coach who believed first.
The friend who refused to let you quit.
The teammate who pushed you beyond your limits.
The family who stood behind you when nobody else did.

Success may have one face, but it almost always has many hands.

The truth is simple.

Anything worth building in life is rarely built alone.

"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants."

- Isaac Newton

Deep dive

None of us gets to the top alone. Every lesson you've learned and every opportunity you've received came from someone who believed in you, challenged you, or shared their wisdom.

"The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team."

- Phil Jackson

Deep dive

A great team isn't built by extraordinary individuals. It's built by ordinary people who are committed to something bigger than themselves. When everyone brings their best and lifts those around them, everyone wins.

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."

- African Proverb

Deep dive

The biggest goals in life aren't achieved overnight. They require people who will challenge you, support you, and stay beside you when things get difficult. Choose your team wisely, because the right people won't just change your journey… they'll change your destination.

📌 ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Is it okay to take help from others?

This week, I had a long conversation with a good friend of mine who had a very similar upbringing and comes from a similar background. We both realised that we were raised to believe that asking for help was a sign of weakness, or that it created some kind of obligation or negative exchange of favours.

Looking back, we couldn't have been more wrong. Humans are collaborative by nature, and we thrive when we work together. I'm still working on rewiring that part of my thinking, but if you're anything like I used to be, don't wait as long as I did. Embrace the people who genuinely want to help you, because the right partnerships will take you further than you could ever go alone.
