MEET YOUR HOST
I’m Igor, a former professional athlete, three-time world champion, and trained sports psychologist who later moved into business and entrepreneurship.
I’ve spent years performing under pressure and learning what actually drives results. Not hype. Not shortcuts. But clarity, discipline, and focus.
MAF is for people who want to show up sharper in life. Expect practical mindset tools, honest reflections, and a small but necessary dose of humor along the way.
If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

In Person Event in Berlin: Train Like a World Champion
I’m hosting a small, in person experience in Berlin for people who want more out of themselves.
We’ll start with a private rowing session where I’ll coach you through the same principles that took me to three world championships and a world record.
Then we shift gears.
A focused workshop on habits. How they’re built, how they stick, and how they quietly separate average from elite.
Limited spots. High standards.
If you’re serious about leveling up, this is for you.
More details, dates, and how to join are coming in the next emails. Stay tuned.
TODAY’S TOPIC
🧠 We tend to think freedom creates progress
More time, more money, more options.
But in reality, it’s often the opposite.
Constraints force decisions. They remove distraction. They make trade-offs unavoidable.
When you don’t have unlimited time, you prioritize.
When resources are tight, you get creative.
When options shrink, clarity appears.
The path forward isn’t hidden – it’s just usually buried under too many choices.
“Creativity thrives under constraints.”
Deep dive
When there is plenty of room for maneuver, we tend to take it easy and stay comfortable. But what happens when we do not have that room? Then the magic happens. We think about how to move forward with what we have. We find a way. If you are in this situation today, embrace it and approach it head on.
“In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.”
Deep dive
Every great breakthrough was made in the midst of difficulty and the need for improvement. So next time you hit a wall, be it in your personal or professional life, try to reframe the situation. Ask yourself, what is the opportunity in this situation?
“It is not daily increase but daily decrease. Hack away at the unessential.”
Deep dive
Finally, in your day to day, think about what the unessential inputs, actions, and thoughts are. Identify those and be rigorous in cutting them out of your life. You will free so much space and focus for what truly matters.
📌 ON A PERSONAL NOTE
Limited Time
This topic of today’s newsletter is a really personal one I am dealing with right now. With a new job, working seven days a week, this newsletter, and the events I am organizing, time is lacking on all fronts. Time for myself, friends and family, and, to me, something really important, sports.
In this insane lack of time, I am actually realizing that I am more productive than ever. Deleting all my social media, taking the distractions out of my daily life, and focusing on what matters. I am impressed myself with how much time I’ve gained for the things that matter.
I hope you take this one to heart and are rigorous about how you allocate your time. After all, there is only so much of it we have left…
