Today’s word count: Priceless
Estimated reading time: So not important this time around πŸ˜‰

When I came up with the idea of starting a motivational newsletter, I originally planned to begin on some Monday in January, like all β€œnormal” people do. It was shaping up to be just another ultra motivated idea that would fade away as quickly as it came into existence.
Yes, I’m speaking from experience.

Instead of taking that all too familiar route, I called my own bulls**t, overrode the default mode, and started writing that same day.

That day happened to be a Wednesday, so I stick with it.

And now, one year later, here we are every single week.
Showing up.
In sickness and in health.
Motivated or not.

Damn, I feel like I’m writing vows right now… πŸ˜…
Honestly, it kind of feels like it.

One trip around the Sun.
54 weeks.
54 newsletters.
3,000+ subscribers.

And still hungry?
YES.

What kind of person would I be if I showed up here just to praise myself about how amazing this newsletter is without being ready to raise the stakes?

So here we go.

On 22.12.2025, a new project begins. This time, I’m teaming up with my dear friend and now also colleague, Margarita AlbarracΓn, a cognitive behavioural psychologist. Together, we’re launching a new project focused on mental well being, rightfully called Self-Sustainability. There is even our first photo at the end of this newsletter 😎.

I hope you’re as excited about it as I am.

Join our bi weekly newsletter below and don’t miss our upcoming online and in person events.

Without further ado. Nothing less for the birthday edition than three quotes that shaped my life. I hope they hit yours just as hard. Let’s dive in.

Quote 1

β€œDon’t chase the money. Chase moments in life.”

- Unknown

To be frank, I love money. I see money as a medium for transferring value. But chasing money alone disconnects us from what money is actually for: enabling us to enjoy moments in life.

Moments with others.

At the end of it all, you won’t remember how much money you made. You’ll remember the experiences you had and the people you shared them with. So make sure you prioritize people and moments over money.

They are priceless.

Quote 2

β€œYou are the average of the five people you surround yourself with.”

- Jim Rohn (discipline focused personal development philosopher)

I cannot stress how important this one is.

Attitudes, ideas, and worldviews shape us far more than we like to admit. The people we surround ourselves with can either become a launchpad toward the life we want to live or a black hole where dreams go to die.

And keep this in mind: those β€œfive people” do not have to be actual people. They can also be a writer you read, a podcaster you listen to, or a channel you follow. Their thoughts, values, and standards influence your life just as much as friends or family.

Choose your five wisely. Choose Motivated Always Focused 😁 πŸ˜‚!

Quote 3

β€œDo what gives you energy.”

- Concept from MFM Podcast

So simple.
So easy to implement.
So true.

Does what you do give you energy? Are you excited to get out of bed and start executing? Do you look forward to the next day like a child before Christmas?

If the answer to any of these questions is no, find the thing that turns it into a yes. Life is too short to spend it doing things we dislike just to keep living, only to gain more time to keep doing those same things we dislike.

So ask yourself this.

What would give you energy today?

If this message resonated with you, don’t keep it to yourself.
Share it with someone who could use a spark this week.
Let’s lift each other up. πŸ’›

On a personal note – I’ve realized that taking on one major project per year is becoming kind of my thing. In Japan, there’s even a name for this: Misogi, a traditional Japanese purification ritual. In Western culture, it has evolved and I’m quoting here into a modern concept of undertaking a difficult, often scary, self imposed challenge, whether physical, mental, or spiritual, to build resilience, break limits, and achieve transformation.

So without even realizing it, I guess I’m slowly getting purified and a little more spiritual with every undertaking 😁

Your Self-Sustainability Team! Look at these cuties!😁😍😍😍
