Quote 1:

"Worrying about the future is like watching a leaf fall and trying to predict where it will land. Stop trying to guess where the wind will blow and get to work.”

- James Clear (author, habit expert and speaker)

In a nutshell, there are so many unpredictable things happening in our lives that if we worried about every one of them, we’d simply be paralyzed in the same spot. There will always be another outside factor we cannot control, or that will affect us. Therefore, instead of playing the guessing game, take control over the one thing you actually can control – your actions.

Get to work.

Quote 2:

"Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game."

- Babe Ruth (Baseball legend, won 7 World Series championships)

This one really resonated with me, since I’ve been trying to make an internal mind switch. From seeing work as this big, heavy thing hovering over me like a parent watching you do your homework, to seeing it simply as a game, to a game I actually enjoy.

Once I started approaching life more playfully, the pressure to “do or be something” disappeared. Instead, the motivation to skill up (level up) took over, and suddenly there were no mistakes anymore. Everything turned into a lesson.

Take life more as a game. And enjoy the play.

Quote 3:

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important."

- Ambrose Redmoon (writer, thinker, counterculture philosophical and motivational)

We like to think of ourselves as smart creatures. Well, most of us anyway…

As humans, it’s natural to go through life weighing the positive and negative outcomes of our actions. That ability is part of why we’ve come to dominate the planet (though whether we’re doing a good job at it is another question…).

But here’s the catch: when we factor fear into the equation, we tend to associate it only with negative outcomes. In reality, fear often works as a signal. More often than not, it’s simply an indicator pointing us toward something that actually matters.

Question your fears and be courageous in going after what you want in life.

On a personal noteLately, I’ve had this topic on my mind a lot: which direction to take with this personal project of mine that you’re reading right now. I caught myself trying to predict the future of this newsletter, my YouTube channel, Instagram, LinkedIn, and even the personal and group sessions I run. I was constantly forecasting the potential outcomes I should be aiming for.

But in the end, I realized I need to take some of my own medicine: just keep going and keep producing content. Focusing on anything beyond my control would simply be a waste of time.

Thank you Mom for talking some sense into me on this matter ❤️

Sometimes we all need that shakedown haha
