MEET YOUR HOST

I’m Igor, a former professional athlete, three-time world champion, and trained sports psychologist who later moved into business and entrepreneurship.

I’ve spent years performing under pressure and learning what actually drives results. Not hype. Not shortcuts. But clarity, discipline, and focus.

MAF is for people who want to show up sharper in life. Expect practical mindset tools, honest reflections, and a small but necessary dose of humor along the way.

If that resonates, you’re in the right place.

TODAY’S TOPIC

🧠 We live in a world obsessed with new beginnings

A new business.
A new workout plan.
A new book.
A new goal.
A new Monday.

Starting feels exciting because it gives us hope. But hope without execution is just another unfinished project.

The people who build extraordinary careers, businesses, and lives aren't the ones with the best ideas. They're the ones who keep going long after the excitement has disappeared.

Anyone can start.

Very few finish.

"It always seems impossible until it's done."

- Nelson Mandela

Deep dive

Every meaningful goal feels overwhelming when you're standing at the starting line. The difference between those who succeed and those who don't is rarely talent… It's the willingness to keep taking the next step. Finish what you started, and one day you'll look back wondering why you ever doubted yourself.

"It's not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?"

- Henry David Thoreau

Deep dive

Being busy is easy. Being productive is a choice. Make sure your days are filled with actions that move you closer to the life you want, not just tasks that keep you occupied. As one extremely intelligent person from my work always ask, what is the delta to any action we choose to take?

"There are no shortcuts to any place worth going."

- Beverly Sills

Deep dive

We all want results, but lasting success is earned one day at a time. The hard work you do when nobody is watching is what builds the future everyone will eventually see. Trust the process, stay patient, and keep going.

📌 ON A PERSONAL NOTE

Imaginary movie

If you've made it this far, I want to let you in on a little secret.

When I was coming up in my rowing career, just another unknown athlete with big dreams, I had a secret weapon that helped me through the hard and often boring days. I imagined there was a film crew following me everywhere, creating a documentary about my journey to the top. They were capturing the early mornings, the exhausting training sessions, the setbacks, the victories, and all the moments that nobody else would ever see.

That simple thought filled me with an incredible sense of pride and responsibility. Every workout suddenly mattered because it could become part of the story. I found myself pushing a little harder, staying a little longer, and refusing to quit because I wanted the audience watching that imaginary documentary to see someone who never gave up.

It gave me a boost of motivation unlike anything else. In a strange way, I started acting like the person I wanted to become long before I actually became him.

Looking back, I realise that sometimes the stories we tell ourselves shape the lives we end up living.
