Choices – We All Have to Make Them ⚖️🤔💭

Ready to get your mind blown away? Even not making a choice is still a choice 🤯🤯🤯

Quote 1:

"It's not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are."

- Roy E. Disney (businessman, visionary, innovator)

Choices are usually what the outside world sees—what we do, how we behave, and what we say. But values, on the other hand, are deeply internalized. They live within us and shape the kind of person we become. Our values form our core, influencing everything around us.

An athlete who values fitness won’t struggle to choose a healthy meal, go to bed early for proper rest, or train hard. A businessman who values success will naturally prioritize structure and dedication over slacking off. A parent who values their relationship with their children will take the time to listen and be present.

When your values are clear, making the right decisions becomes (almost) effortless.

Quote 2:

"You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them."

- Maya Angelou (Poet, Activist, Icon)

Life often brings challenges beyond our control. Unexpected hardships can arise—loved ones may fall ill, accidents can happen, economies may struggle, and even war can break out. But even in the darkest moments, when hope feels distant, we still hold one powerful tool: the ability to choose how we respond.

Growing up during wartime in a country called Yugoslavia (which, sadly, no longer exists), I—like many others of my generation—experienced stress, trauma, and the many hardships that come with civil conflict. Yet, despite living through the same events, people were affected in very different ways. Why? Because of the choices they made.

We may not control our circumstances, but we do control how we shape our future. Even in adversity, we can choose to keep moving forward. We can choose resilience, hope, and growth. Some might feel overwhelmed and defeated, which is understandable, but others find strength in the struggle, using it as fuel to build something better.

No matter what life throws at us, we always have a choice. And the beauty of life is that we can learn from every experience. If nothing else, challenges teach us what we truly value and what we want to create for ourselves. In the end, it’s not just about surviving hardship—it’s about transforming it into something meaningful.

Quote 3:

“You don't have to attend every argument you're invited to.”

- Charlie Munger (investor, thinker, philanthropist)

Obviously saved the best for least.

Not every disagreement requires our participation. In life, we will constantly encounter conflicts, differing opinions, and invitations to arguments that drain our energy. The real power lies in recognizing which battles are worth engaging in and which are best ignored. Walking away is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of wisdom and self-control.

Charlie Munger’s quote reminds us that we have the ultimate choice in social interactions: to protect our peace. Just because someone provokes us doesn’t mean we must respond. By choosing where to invest our time and energy, we gain clarity, maintain composure, and focus on what truly matters.

The disappointment on the face hahaha

To conclude, choices are simply choices—not necessarily good or bad. We all have to make them though, and that is part of the freedom we have as humans.

So, take a moment today to reflect: What is one conscious and good choice you can make today? Share your choice with a loved ones or here with the comunity in the comment section! Looking forward to reading them.

Love you, Igor
