Inspiration or work. What comes first❓ 🤔🤔🤔

It is that chicken-and-egg debate 🐔🐣

Quote 1:

“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working.”

- Picasso (Painter, Sculptor, Innovator)

So often, we expect to feel motivated and inspired simply by choosing a goal, mission, or challenge that we believe is worthwhile. However, inspiration doesn’t come on its own. It follows hard work, not the other way around. Only after spending countless hours, days, or even years mastering a craft does one reach a state of ease—fully immersed in the challenge ahead. And it is precisely in that moment that inspiration strikes. That is the magical place we should all strive to reach.

Quote 2:

“Fish where the fish is and not where the fisherman stand.“

- Shaan Puri (entrepreneur, investor, and podcaster on "My First Million")

Uhhhh how I like this one… Let us unpack the message, shall we?

Many people chase opportunities where everyone else is already looking, assuming that success comes from being in the same place as the competition. However, real success comes from focusing on where the actual value lies, not just where others are gathered. Just as a skilled fisherman goes to where the fish are rather than where the other fishermen stand, we must seek opportunities in the right places rather than simply following the crowd.

In business, sports, or personal growth, the key is to identify where real potential exists and direct efforts accordingly. Instead of competing in oversaturated spaces, find the gaps—those areas where demand is high but supply is low. Thinking strategically, rather than conventionally, allows for better results with less effort. Success comes not from doing what everyone else is doing, but from finding where you can have the greatest impact.

Quote 3:

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellent is therefore not an act but the habit.”

- Aristotle (Philosopher, Scientist, Teacher)

Our actions shape who we become, not just in single moments but through consistent repetition. Excellence isn’t achieved through one great performance or a single act of brilliance—it is the result of daily habits and disciplined effort. What we do regularly defines us far more than what we do occasionally. If we repeatedly push ourselves to improve, stay disciplined, and strive for quality in everything we do, excellence becomes second nature.

This means that success is not about talent alone but about the routines and behaviors we commit to every day. Small, consistent efforts compound over time, leading to mastery and outstanding results. Those who achieve excellence are not simply gifted, they have built habits that make excellence their default state. By focusing on the process rather than just the outcome, we set ourselves up for lasting success.

Somebody has to…☝️☝️☝️
