Topic of the Week - Relationships 👐🫶

And no, not with yourself lol

Being human means, by default, having to deal with other humans. And that is, without a doubt, one of the beauties of being part of this amazing species—capable of such impressive collaboration. However, when it comes to work and business, not everyone treats their relationships to their utmost benefit.

Today's email is for those people! 😘

Quote 1:

“Opportunity handed well leads to more opportunity.”

- Unknown

By default, in our work life, good things will happen, and we will get a break from time to time. We will have the chance to prove ourselves and show what we are capable of. However, more often than not, for whatever reason, we don’t fully seize the opportunities presented to us.

Maybe we assume that more opportunities will come our way, we might think it's not urgent to act quickly, or we may even dismiss it as mere luck. Regardless of your perspective, there is a simple truth about human interaction: when given a chance, how you respond will reveal your character and create value for others. And by default, that will lead to more, bigger, and better opportunities.

Be open. Be helpful. And take every opportunity head-on.

Quote 2:

“Your reputation will precede you.”

- Unknown

This next quote definitely relates to the previous one but goes even deeper. Earlier, we touched on the idea of seizing opportunities and making the most of them. Well, while doing so, you are also building an image for yourself. And this image (spoiler alert) will precede you.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that the way people perceive you will always align perfectly with your actual presence. It won’t.

To understand this, we need to look at human evolution and recognize that an individual’s reputation was crucial to the success of the group. Let’s say you're not a nice person, and you steal from others (nothing personal). Now, you come and want to join our tribe. Before allowing you into my inner circle, I’d want to know that about you. Reputation, in this sense, acts as a safety mechanism—and it’s one we still live by today.

So, to conclude: go out of your way to be fucking amazing as a coworker, friend, family member, and contributor to any social group you’re part of. This will shape how others think of you.

Guard your reputation with your life. You only have one.

Quote 3:

“A real marker of wealth is how many problems you can solve simply by texting a guy.”

- Jeremy Gifin (entrepreneur, spiritual coach, and financial literacy advocate)

I saved the best for last. Oh my god, how I love this one! 🤩

I believe the key to real power—and with it, wealth—lies precisely in this capability: resolving any issue simply by calling the right person.

I’m sure you’ve experienced a moment when a problem arose, and someone in your surroundings knew exactly who to call, made that call, and solved the issue instantly.

This isn’t a skill you’re simply given—it’s something you build, maintain, and continuously work on.

Be that person. Be the one who makes things happen.

Look at Kurt Angle. So well connected 😂

Relationships. We can’t achieve big things in life without them. So, make yours as strong as possible. After all, it is our responsibility.

With today’s topic in mind what’s one relationship you can reignite today? Surprise someone with a call—someone you haven’t spoken to in a while. Let them know you thought about them. This will go a long way.

And if today’s email had a positive impact on you, please share it with others. This way, the message will spread far and wide, allowing more people to benefit from it.

Love you, Igor
